Support Through Court (previously the Personal Support Unit) is a charity that aims to reduce the disadvantage of people facing the civil or family justice system without a lawyer, enabling them to access justice. They believe that no one should face court alone and they work to provide immediate support to everyone who comes to them.
Support Through Court are an award-winning charity with several hundred dedicated volunteers, operating from 20 courts across England and Wales as well as through a National Helpline. Their trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support to clients throughout the court process, supporting clients on over 78,000 occasions in 2019/2020.

SBA The Solicitors’ Charity is an independent charity working for solicitors both past and present and their families. Every year we help hundreds of people of all ages who are in serious financial need as a result of illness, accident, redundancy or other adversity.
We determine ‘serious financial need’ by using research produced by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s ‘Minimum Income Standard’ .
We provide grants and interest-free loans (usually secured), support with career transition and access to bespoke personal insolvency advice.
